The Battle of Cropredy Bridge was the culmination of a campaign to capture the King, beginning with Parliament forces massing around Oxford to take the city and the King. Charles (1st) snuck out of Oxford and led Parliament all around the Cotswolds ending up at Banbury and the Battle of Cropredy Bridge.
